ABSTRACT:- Aquatic insects act as a major important tool for the bio-indication of environmental disturbances. Aquatic insects have high abundance, high birth rate with a short generation time, large mass, and rapid colonization of freshwater habitats, so they may be considered to analyze the structure and function of freshwater ecosystems. Aquatic insects spend most part of their life cycle in water, so their number and composition in the population indicate the change in water quality. The three main orders that are present in aquatic ecosystems are the Coleoptera, Hemiptera, and Odonata. The Most common aquatic insects found in the order Coleoptera are Dyiiscus marginalis, G yrinus natator; in the order Hemiptera is Laccotrephes ruber, Lethocerus patruelis, Ranatra elongata, Notonecta glauca; in the order, Odonata is Aethriamanta brevipennis, Chalcolestes viridis.
